Anti-Spam Policy
Last Updated: March 18, 2025
Sokavlen is committed to responsible email practices and compliance with anti-spam regulations worldwide. This Anti-Spam Policy outlines our approach to electronic communications and the standards we maintain to protect our users and recipients.
Our Commitment
We do not tolerate spam in any form. Sokavlen prohibits the use of our services for sending unsolicited bulk email, spam, or any other unsolicited messages. We are committed to permission-based marketing and communication practices.
Definitions
Spam
Spam refers to unsolicited commercial electronic messages sent in bulk to recipients who have not explicitly granted permission to receive such communications. This includes but is not limited to email, SMS messages, and other electronic communications.
Consent
Consent means explicit, verifiable permission granted by a recipient to receive communications from Sokavlen or through our platform. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous.
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited when using Sokavlen services:
Sending Unsolicited Messages: Transmitting commercial messages to recipients who have not provided explicit consent to receive communications.
Purchased or Rented Lists: Using purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party email lists without verified opt-in consent from each recipient.
False or Misleading Information: Using deceptive subject lines, false headers, forged sender information, or misleading content in electronic communications.
Harvesting Addresses: Collecting email addresses or contact information through automated means, scraping websites, or using address harvesting tools.
Dictionary Attacks: Generating email addresses algorithmically or through systematic combinations to send unsolicited messages.
Obscuring Identity: Hiding or misrepresenting the sender's identity, organization, or the nature of the message.
Omitting Unsubscribe Options: Failing to provide clear, functional unsubscribe mechanisms in commercial communications.
Ignoring Unsubscribe Requests: Continuing to send messages after a recipient has opted out or requested removal from mailing lists.
Required Practices
Permission-Based Marketing
All commercial communications sent through or by Sokavlen must be based on explicit consent. Recipients must have actively opted in to receive messages, and the nature of future communications must be clearly explained at the point of consent.
Clear Identification
All messages must clearly identify the sender, including accurate sender information and a valid physical address. Subject lines must accurately reflect the content of the message.
Unsubscribe Mechanism
Every commercial message must include a clear, conspicuous, and functioning unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests must be processed within ten business days, and no fee, personal information beyond an email address, or additional steps beyond replying or clicking a link may be required.
Accurate Content
Message content must be truthful and not misleading. Header information, routing information, and originating domain names must be accurate and identify the entity that initiated the message.
Consent Management
Obtaining Consent
Consent must be obtained through clear affirmative action, such as checking an unchecked box or clicking a confirmation link. Pre-checked boxes, inactivity, or silence do not constitute valid consent.
Documenting Consent
Records of how, when, and where consent was obtained must be maintained. This includes the exact wording of consent requests and the identity of individuals who provided consent.
Consent Withdrawal
Recipients must be able to withdraw consent as easily as they provided it. Once consent is withdrawn, communications must cease promptly, and the withdrawal must be honored across all communication channels.
User Responsibilities
Users of Sokavlen services agree to:
Comply with Laws: Follow all applicable anti-spam laws and regulations in jurisdictions where they operate and where recipients are located.
Maintain Clean Lists: Regularly clean and update mailing lists, removing invalid addresses and honoring opt-out requests promptly.
Verify Consent: Ensure that all recipients on mailing lists have provided explicit consent and maintain records of such consent.
Monitor Engagement: Track bounce rates, complaint rates, and engagement metrics, taking corrective action when metrics indicate problems.
Respond to Complaints: Address spam complaints promptly and take immediate action to prevent future violations.

How to Report
If you believe you have received spam from a Sokavlen user or involving our services, please report it immediately to [email protected] with the subject line "Spam Report".
Information to Include
When reporting spam, please provide:
Full message headers: Complete technical headers showing routing and origin information.
Message content: The complete text or screenshot of the message received.
Date and time: When the message was received.
Context: Any relevant information about your relationship with the sender or how they may have obtained your contact information.
Investigation Process
Upon receiving a spam report, we will investigate within two business days, take appropriate action against violators, and respond to the reporter regarding the outcome where appropriate.
Best Practices for Users
Building Your List
Use confirmed opt-in processes where subscribers confirm their subscription through a verification link. Clearly explain what subscribers will receive and how frequently. Never add people to lists without their explicit permission.
Crafting Messages
Use clear, accurate subject lines that reflect message content. Include your organization name and physical address in every message. Provide valuable, relevant content to your audience. Avoid excessive use of spam trigger words or deceptive tactics.
Maintaining List Health
Remove hard bounces immediately and monitor soft bounces for patterns. Honor unsubscribe requests within the required timeframe. Segment lists to ensure recipients receive relevant content. Re-engage inactive subscribers or remove them from your list.
Testing and Verification
Test messages before sending to large audiences. Verify that unsubscribe links function properly. Check messages across different email clients and devices. Monitor delivery rates, open rates, and complaint rates.
Technical Safeguards
Authentication Protocols
Sokavlen implements and requires proper email authentication including SPF records, DKIM signatures, and DMARC policies to verify sender legitimacy and prevent spoofing.
Rate Limiting
We enforce sending limits and velocity controls to prevent bulk spam activities and protect our infrastructure and reputation.
Content Filtering
Automated systems scan outbound messages for spam characteristics, malicious content, and compliance with our policies.
Reputation Management
We maintain relationships with reputation services, monitor blacklists, and take immediate action to address any deliverability issues.
Third-Party Services
Users who integrate third-party email service providers or marketing automation tools with Sokavlen services remain responsible for ensuring those services comply with this Anti-Spam Policy and all applicable laws.
Sokavlen is not responsible for spam originating from third-party services, but we will terminate access for users who use such services to violate this policy.
International Compliance
While Sokavlen operates internationally, users must comply with anti-spam laws in all jurisdictions where they send messages or where recipients are located. This includes but is not limited to regulations such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and similar legislation worldwide.
When stricter standards apply in any jurisdiction, users must adhere to those higher standards to maintain compliance.
Education and Resources
Sokavlen provides resources and guidance to help users maintain compliance with anti-spam requirements, including documentation, best practice guides, compliance checklists, and technical implementation support.
Users are encouraged to stay informed about evolving anti-spam regulations and to seek guidance when uncertain about compliance requirements.
Policy Updates
This Anti-Spam Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements, industry standards, or our operational practices. Material changes will be communicated to users through email notification or prominent notice on our website.
Continued use of Sokavlen services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Legal Action: Civil or criminal proceedings where violations constitute illegal activity.
